Baptism - Dec 7

Louise was baptized at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church on December 7. We were very fortunate to have Mom/Steve, Monaca/Jerry/Cole/Tanner, Dad/Tina/Alex, Anna/Bruce, and Elizabeth/John. It meant so much to have all of you there! Here is a link to some pictures from the weekend. Some of them are blurry because we could not use a flash inside the Santuary.

On another note, Louise had her 6 month check up yesterday. Let's just say that we don't have to worry about her weight anymore. She's 17 lbs (75th percentile) and 28 inches (>95th percentile).

A video from yesterday

Here is a video we took yesterday. She is getting very active!

OK, I think I'm done. Whew! That was a lot to update.

Wilmington

I went to Wilmington this past weekend with Louise while Douglas and Winnie stayed in Atlanta. Louise couldn't have been any better in the car. Well, except for that dirty diaper 1 hour from Atlanta on our way back.
She enjoyed seeing her cousins, Cole and Tanner and the rest of the family.
This bottom picture is Louise and Jackie. I know she likes to look at the blog, so I thought I would put her picture up.

Rice Cereal

Louise had her first taste of rice cereal last week. She is beginning to like it more and more each time despite her reaction in this picture!

Louise's first halloween

We went to Cashiers with Stephanie Thomas, Austin Stephens, Alden and Carter Potts, and Celia and Calvin O'Keeffe Halloween weekend. We dressed Louise up as a little chick.

On another note, congratulations to Austin and Stephanie who got engaged this past weekend (11/7)!

Neighborhood Fall Festival

We had our neighborhood fall festival at the end of October. Is was pretty uneventful, but we did get to spend some time with Robert, Kelly, Walker, and Cate Turner. Here's a picture of Louise and Cate (Douglas's goddaughter).

We meet Jack Weeks

Jack Weeks was born on 10/16 and we were able to meet him a few weeks later. We are so glad they are in Atlanta and look forward to raising our children together.

Louise rolls over

This one was taken on 10/20 (not the 1st time though). I found her like this during one of her naps and thought it was so sweet.

Visit with Kezia

Kezia came to visit during her fall break. She stayed with us 2 nights and we were glad to have her. Her birthday was Monday, Nov 10th. Happy Birthday Kezia!!

I have done such a bad job keeping this up. We've got so many pictures to share. Here are some from the past month.

This one is me, Louise, Eliza, Jane, Elizabeth, and Jack. We stayed at Elizabeth's for the UNC/Notre Dame game in October.

Louise and Jack

We went by Lindsay and Raynor's

Louise's 4 month doctor's appt

Louise had her 4 month check-up this past Friday. She is 12 lbs (25th percentile) and 26 inches (>95th percentile) long. The doctor said Louise looked great.

Our nanny, Elisabeth, starts on Tuesday. A big thank you to Monaca and Anna for coming each for a week to keep Louise. They were both such a huge help and made my transition back to work so much easier.

Here's a recent picture from Friday (10/3)...also Granddaddy's birthday. Happy Birthday Granddaddy!!

This weekend we went to Cashiers with the entire Biggs clan (Anna, Bruce, Mee-Ma, Britt, Tem, Eliza, and Bess). The weather was beautiful and we had a very relaxing time.

Sammy and Jane

We had Sammy and Jane stay with us this past weekend. We loved having them here!

Louise is 12 weeks old - Aug 25

I took this picture to capture her 12 week birthday, but am just now posting because of our hard drive crash.

Louise meets Kate Deal - Aug 24

We went to meet Kate Deal on a Sunday afternoon a couple weeks ago. Louise and Kate are 5 weeks apart and I know they will be good friends.

Louise smiling

Louise is becoming more and more alert every day. She likes to sit in my breastfeeding pillow (AKA my brest friend) and look around. I took this picture today. I thought it was so cute and really captured her happy personality.

Visit to Wilmington/Swansboro

We had a nice visit to Wilmington this past weekend. We left Thursday morning and got back last night. Louise got to meet a lot of people. Some of them were her great grandfather "Granddaddy"and great grandmothers "Gana" and "Granny". We then took a short drive to Swansboro on Saturday so she could see great grandmother "Mee-Ma". Click on link below to look at all the pictures. Enjoy!

Louise held her head up for so long this morning (ok, it was only 5 minutes) that I thought I should take a picture!

2 month dr's appt

We took Louise for her 2 month checkup. She got 4 shots and did very well. I think Douglas and I were worse off than she was. She weighed 9 lbs 12 oz and is 22.75 inches long. So that means from the last appointment (1 month checkup) that she is either shrinking or the nurse measured wrong =) Needless to say, Douglas is very disappointed and has to stop saying, "we might have a Rebecca Lobo on our hands". This picture was taken tonight. She likes the swing...it seems to calm her down.

Mom and Steve visit

Mom and Steve came the weekend before Britt got here. Douglas and Steve went to the Braves game on Sunday. Unfortunately, the Braves did not win...
Now that I think about it, I don't think Steve got to hold Louise...mom was not in the sharing mood.

Britt visit

Britt came to visit us last week. We really enjoyed having her here!

Well, this is very new to Douglas and me, but we thought this would be a good way to keep everyone up to date with Louise. Please visit often!
